The Many Uses of Dump Hoppers and Material Handling Equipment

Self dumping hoppers are designed and made for use in different home and industrial applications. They come in a wide variety of configurations to accommodate different materials. Hoppers feature structural bases and lip top edges for easy handling and processing of different loads. Self-dumping mechanisms are also used for convenient unloading and dumping of materials. They also come in light and heavy duty capacities for various applications.

Light duty hoppers are used for lightweight materials, particularly, bulky items or items that take up more space than weight. They are perfect for lightweight recycling, plant maintenance and for collecting all wood scrap, like pallets, saw dust, mills, and cabinets. Heavy duty hoppers are more suitable for industrial applications. They often feature more sophisticated designs and components for additional safety, given the volume of material they are built to handle. Heavy duty dumping hoppers are designed for safe handling of heavy scrap like metal, glass, and stone and they are more commonly seen in machine shops, commercial construction and in fabrication and glass industries.

For extra heavy jobs, there are also super-duty dumping hoppers that are built for extreme use and abuse. They are used for applications such as packed glass, stone, metal, and concrete handling and production, and require heavy duty machinery such as heavy duty forklifts to operate.
